All too often pictures can be the wrong size or colour to suit an interior. This has an overall bearing on the ‘feel’ of the room. To try and eliminate this problem Daragh likes to visit his clients in their home or workplace with his portfolio, a tape measure and a few sample pieces. Along with Daraghs consultation the client is also involved in deciding on the right piece for a particular place.

"It is a very tangible way to decide on which image to use as my clients can actually put each image from my portfolio on the wall to get a real feeling of how the finished piece will be. It is not unusual to have my entire portfolio out on the table as we narrow down the selection process."

Using the tape measure we can decide on the finished size so that the piece will be neither too big nor too small.

A 9’ x 6’ Dulwich Sunset is his biggest to date.

Daragh has also started working on a new medium in the form of contemporary rugs. An extremely textured way to present his images, his plan is to create a series of 10 rugs each approx. 6’ x 4’. To date he has done a 3’ x 2’ Blue Ice and a 6’ x 4’ Monetier Rings. These also can be Custom made to any size. Not all images are possible due to detail restrictions. See below for photos of both these rugs.
